Hannah Arendt Week at the Waldzimmer e.V. in Lübeck: fireside chat with former Minister President Björn Engholm and Holger Marquardt, former provost. Schwerin
Under the motto: "The Literaturhaus Uwe Johnson as a guest with friends", the Literaturhaus is visiting the "Waldzimmer" cultural center in the middle of Lübeck's city forest this evening.
In an extremely appealing living room atmosphere, we want to have a lively conversation in front of the open fireplace about the big issues of our time: Democracy, freedom and tolerance.
How endangered is our democracy really? What characterizes it? What does freedom mean today and how can political freedom be defined and used?
Guests are the former Minister President of Schleswig-Holstein and former Federal Chancellor candidate Björn Engholm and the former Provost of Schwerin Castle Church, Holger Marquardt.
We will approach the topic from different perspectives in the spirit of Hannah Arendt, who always cultivated open discourse.
Moderation: Oliver Hintz M.A., Director of the Literaturhaus "Uwe Johnson"
