Active Vacation Between the Baltic Sea and the Lake District

Recreational Activities on Land and Water

The area between the Baltic Sea and Lake Müritz, the Elbe and the Szczecin Lagoon will provide unforgettable memories for visitors eager to experience all kinds of opportunities that will guarantee an active and adventurous vacation. You can explore the region either on foot or on bike, following an extensive network of hiking and biking trails along the coast, leading through primeval forests and past sparkling rivers and lakes. It is also possible to experience this area on horseback, as horses and riders are allowed to access beaches from autumn onward. Additionally, there’s a wide range of water sports that will excite tourists wishing to experience the life on and around the water. Fishing, surfing, sailing, canoeing or paddling, all of these activities are offered across the entire range between the Baltic Sea and the Lake District. Should you, however, prefer to have both feet on firm ground and get some well-deserved respite, then you can visit a number of countries modern golf courses.

An eventful day is usually rounded off by the opportunity to experience of wide range of culinary specialties of the region, such as local fish from the clear lake waters or the game from adjacent lush forests.
