With her documentary "Go Clara Go: the art of creative resistance", director Sylvie Kürsten reveals an exceptional chapter in East German art history.
Clara Mosch was a gallery and artists' group founded in May 1977 in Karl-Marx-Stadt. The group of artists proved that art could be free in the GDR and was in no way inferior to Western role models such as Joseph Beuys.
Together with one of the protagonists of the time, the artist Michael Morgner, Sylvie Kürsten traces the creative energy of this period in the Ahrenshoop Art Museum.
