"The great novel by Michael Ende became one of the most successful film adaptations of its time in 1984 under the direction of Wolfgang Petersen. A visually and tonally stunning adventure. When "The Neverending Story" was filmed at Bavaria Filmstadt in Munich in 1984, the film tricks were still created by hand using models and giant puppets, such as the lucky dragon Falkor. It is really great fun to share in the excitement with him and Atréju and to get to know the ancient Morla or the stone biter on his bicycle." Film Service
