Familiar names from the GDR era come together to swap stories.
Waldemar Cierpinski. "Feel free to call your sons Waldemar" - this sentence by Heinz Florian Oertel on Cierpinski's 2nd Olympic victory in Moscow in 1980 remains unforgotten to
unforgotten by many GDR citizens. Chris Doerk was the most successful singer in the former GDR and also made a name for herself as an artist in Cuba and other countries.
Egon Krenz, the last head of state of the GDR, openly confronts the past and takes a stand on how to deal with the history of the GDR.
