Who was Ulrich Müther? What remains of him and his artistic legacy? Even though he is no longer around, his futuristic buildings, the famous Hyparschalen, still bear witness to his epochal vision and creative radiance, which made his work known far beyond the borders of his home town and the GDR and still inspire today. This homage approaches his work and intentions: sometimes anecdotal, sometimes factual, sensual and always full of verve, like Müther's buildings themselves. But it is also the story of a master builder caught between two systems, about the art of engineering that transcends borders. The result is a play that is more than just history: an evening with depth, music and the magic of courage and new beginnings.
"(...) a wonderful historical story about Ulrich Müther (...) If you can combine culture and history in this way, learning is transformed into pleasure. Thank you very much." (Audience comments on the premiere)
