The pianist Itay Dvori and the illustrator Nicole Schneider share the values of cosmopolitanism, humanism and democracy, which inspired them to explore new artistic paths. Dvori, born in Israel, sets graphic novels to well-known pieces of music and his own compositions, while Schneider, who grew up between Kabul and Bonn, combines music and live drawing in her project DUO:LOG. In concert, they improvise together live with piano and digital drawing. In a special performance to mark the 60th anniversary of German-Israeli friendship, Dvori and Schneider bring together different facets of both countries through folk songs and stories such as their homage to the botanist and desert ecologist Michael Evenari. As a sign of dialog, reconciliation and optimism, they create bridges between the two different cultures and at the same time connect the two art disciplines. The synergy of musical and visual language becomes a unique experience.
